Mission

Degenerative disease is on the rise across the world. Heart disease, Cancer, Diabetes and Dementia affect millions and millions of people worldwide either directly or indirectly by destroying the lives of family members and friends.

This constant rise in cardiovascular disease, metabolic disorders and the terrifying increase in neurodegenerative diseases such as Alzheimer's will break our health service. An increase in sedentary behaviour, consumption of ultra processed foods, a pandemic of poor sleep and stress and a loss of community has created a perfect storm for these diseases to take hold.

The current modus operandi of waiting until people get ill and then putting them on medication for life is not only foolish but unsustainable.

Correct Movement, Nutrition and Lifestyle prescription will reduce the likelihood and severity of all 4 of the big degenerative diseases, Heart Disease, Cancer, Metabolic Disease and Neurodegenerative Disease.

NO DRUG IS AS EFFECTIVE

I want to show you how to live your best life physically and mentally using simple, scientifically proven interventions to improve your health, your fitness, your mental resilience and by doing so have the chance to live your best life.

Philosophy

I am a Chartered Scientist with over 20 years experience in providing health, fitness and wellness solutions to individuals, teams and businesses.

Whilst I see people of all ages my area of expertise is adults over 40 years old and my research in this area has been published in peer reviewed journals.

I am chartered by The Science Council, accredited with the British Association of Sport & Exercise Sciences as an expert in Physiology, certified by The National Academy of Sports Medicine in Corrective Exercise and registered with the Sports & Exercise Nutrition Register and British Dietetic Association as a Performance Nutritionist.

I have lectured Anatomy & Physiology, Nutrition and Sports Injury Rehab to university students from all over the UK and I use my skills as a Corrective Exercise Specialist and Pilates Teacher to address common musculoskeletal issues.

In short I have the credentials to prescribe movement and nutrition interventions based on a thorough assessment.

My father died when I was 17 and his father before I was born. Both died of heart disease. Both I and my sons carry the genes that code for hypercholesterolemia, a major cardiovascular risk factor.

This has, in part, driven me to find the most effective ways to improve health outcomes using movement, nutrition and lifestyle interventions.
